Post Pearson Vue or Prometric testing centers
I just took a look on the prices for the 2 A+ exams at both sites, and I noticed that on top of the price for the actual exam, Pearson Vue charges additional tax costs, while this is not the case whenI would take the test at Prometric. Does anyone know why taking the exam (in Europe) at Pearson Vue is more expensive than at Prometric? Is there a difference in quality?

I'm in the US and I'll just say this, maybe it helps, maybe it doesn't

I took my 2 tests at a Prometric center in Downtown LA. The guy who ran the site was nice enough to give me an early tour and speak with people that had failed the test for some good face to face pointers a month before my scheduled tests.

I would just say go with Prometric if the people are nice, I had great success, when i did the exams i was also homeless and they even let me store all my junk in an office they used while i did my exam, mind you I hadn't showered in a month and they had no issue with me doing my test.

Crazy how now I'm living really well at my dream job...ha....anyways..hope that helps!

Thanks for your awnser. I agree it is nice if the people in the test center are friendly. I think if they would be really unfriendly it can even effect how the candidates perform on the test. I'll just make sure I take a shower a few weeks before the exam :) Good luck with you're job. By the way, did you're A+ certificate help you in getting that job?

Thanks sweets.

To answer your question,

Yes.
Without the A+ cert, I wouldn't have been able to get the jobs and opportunities including my job now.

As for how I got this job without any network certification, I used social networking plus some personal recommendations as well. That's very rare nowadays.

Luck or fate? I couldn't tell you totally.
