Just want to let you guys know that Darril Gibson has his first security+ sy0-301 book out with just questions and answers only on amazon. I also read a comment on his previous 201 book by a poster who used it to pass the 301 exams. My guess is that the 201 book is still good for the 301. Looks like there were minor changes to the objectives. Any thoughts??

I don't know about just getting the 301 book, since it only has questions and answers. I felt like his 201 book was a great read, covered the objectives as good as any book out there. Maybe buying both or just using Professor's video's with one of them? I took the 201 almost a year ago, so I have no idea how much the 301 changed from the 201. I have seen people on here just doing Professors video's and passing so maybe the video's will do it. But as always I say get a least 2 sources for any exam.

Don't know how much the test has changed for 301 but I'm studying 201's objectives to take the test on December 22nd. Out of all of the books I've tried, Darril Gibson's book is leaps and bounds better than anything else I've ever read. Mike Meyers' and Sybex's books have absolutely nothing on the structure of Gibson's material. It will be my only source from now on, except for when I'm working and play a CBT Nugget video (YouTube blocked at work, CBT offered for free) or open my Passport e-book. When I need to renew I'll be sure to get his latest material
