04 is the old version of the exam. From Comptia:
Quote: For those studying toward CompTIA Network+ certification, exam code N10-004, that exam will be available in English, Japanese and Taiwanese until August 31, 2012. The exam will be available in Spanish, German and Korean until the fourth quarter of 2012. The most current version of the certification is exam code N10-005. The difference according to here: Quote: The current version of CompTIA Network+, exam code N10-005, was released Dec. 1, 2011. The revised objectives address virtual networking and give increased attention to network security and coverage of the seven-layer OSI (Open System Interconnection) model. |
