greetings, i would like to ask you guys, what are your recommendation for N10-005, I am currently using trainsignal, cbtnuggets N10-004 and professor messer N10-005. i find professor's tutorial more satisfying but i still crave for more. ( ps. i took mcitp windows 2008 server administrator at a moments notice but this comptia scares the shit outta me.)
thanks a lot. |

I think Mike Meyers and Todd Lammle have new books written on N10-005. They are both good authors on this certification. Please search Amazon for more info.

I would like to recommend CompTIA Network+ N10-005 Authorized Exam Cram (4th Edition) ISBN-13: 978-0789749055
I used it and passed the certificate with a score of 870/900. It's great for quick reference and has questions after each chapter, just like Mike Meyers CompTIA Network+ book that I also recommend. The book also has two test-certificates (200 Q/A) which can help boost your self-confidence _________________ |

I'm reading the CompTIA Network+ (Kevin Wallace, Nov 2011) book too. Nice coverage, lots of photos and illustrations, and doesn't put one to sleep (as some technical books do).
If you don't mind doing your reading on a PC or browser-enabled tablet, read it online using Safari eBook. My county library system provides unlimited free access to Safari eBook. If you live near a major metropolitan area in the USA, and have a library card, chances are you may have access to Safari eBook too. Nice thing about Safari is that they have thousands of technical books accessible, and the most currently books tend to be added within a half-year of being published. The one drawback of Safari is that you don't have access to any CD that comes with the book. A good many certification-related books have practice tests provided on the CD. What I recommend you NOT doing is purchasing a technical book for a Kindle. Illustrations and screenshots are hard to make out on a Kindle. You can fall back to Kindle's PC Reader app, and the screenshots are readable. _________________ MCITP: Windows 7; 70-181; 70-693; 70-669; CCNA; A+; Network+ Presently studying for the 70-659 and VCP5 certificate exams. |
