Does anyone know when these numbers will take affect?

I got no response but I read down below where Professor Messer stated that there were no numbers to reflect at this point. I got off the phone with CompTia they told me that those numbers are going to be released in 2013.

I'd like to know too. Last week I was about to purchase Michael Myers CompTIA A+ Seventh Edition off Amazon, but then I saw that his Eighth edition is coming out in a few months, June 2012. Should I hold off buying this $60 book until the eighth edition comes out?

Professor, in your experience, will the jump from 7 series to 8 series be a large change? Or a minor one?
