Post Command Prompt help
I have a question regarding a quiz I'm taking on my A+ course. I was given a question that reads "complete the command to begin a tape backup to the e drive, with a job name of "E:Backup", and naming the tape "Backup 1".

I am then given most of the answer and fill in the remaining text. C:\Documents and Settings\User1>ntbackup backup E: /j "E: Backup" __________.

I keep getting this wrong and the quiz doesn't give the correct answer, can anyone help?

I'm not the expert here. Not at all! However ... does this work?

ntbackup backup E: /j "E: Backup" /n "Backup 1"

I did find one nit bothersome. I would have been more comfortable to have designated the source drive as E:\ rather than just E: -- i.e. force the root directory. After all, the E: drive could be set to some directory other than the root directory.

Looking at the ntbackup documentation, the other parameters seem to be optional. If the above suggestions do not work, my next hunch would be to append /M copy as yet additional parameter.

/t "Backup 1" is the answer that I guessed myself, I asked one of the guys running my on-line course and he said 2 hours ago he would get back to me, but no reply so far. It's a messed up way to learn when they don't even show the answer after a test that I have taken.

Thanks for the help bokuyo much appreciated.

I did a quick re-edit ... changed the /t to /n. The question did imply a new tape, not an existing tape.
