Post Windows 2000 on Exam?
I was just wondering if Windows 2000 comes up a whole lot within questions on the exams?

Oh and I just remembered, acronyms. I know pretty much all of them when used in context but for the life of me. I can't remember the majority of what they stand for. Will I be ok?

Thank you in advance everyone, much appreciated.

Windows 2000 died a long time ago. Can't recall seeing that on the exams.
As for the acronyms. Don't worry too much. CompTIA are not stupid enough to ask a question like "What does SATA stand for?"
Those types of "what does this stand for" questions are reserved for those idiots who created ITIL.

You ought to prepare for XP questions, though.

You are more likely to be asked Windows Vista and Windows 7 questions. Like know that the successor path to Windows 7 requires a migration -- not an upgrade. And know the names of the Vista editions and what their Windows 7 counterparts are. General information like that. It is overkill to memorize the directory structure differences between Vista and pre-Vista OS's. But you ought to know the name of the system root in both instances.

LOL upon reading the ITIL comment!

Windows 2000 is clearly listed in the exam requirement document, so it's possible you might get a question or two. However, there are four operating systems that you need to know (Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and 7), so don't spend all of your time on any one OS.

When you print out the exam requirements you will get a list of acronyms, look those over, I took my test this morning and got hammered in multiple questions about 'POTS'. I had NO idea what this was and its clearly printed on the exam requirements from Comptia, stupid me lol!

I took (and passed) the 220-701 today and I did have a few questions about 2000, but they were more hardware based than anything. Lots of questions on Vista and XP and I did have several with Win7.
Hope that helps!

Thank you again everyone for taking the time to respond. So I took both the 701 and 702 exams yesterday.

I was stressing as I was working on the 701 exam. I ran into a variety of questions where I knew it was between two answers, just a minor detail separated the answers. Ultimately I passed it with a score of 812.

Now as for the 702 exam... I breezed through it and finished it in 40mins. The majority of the questions were network related. I felt I killed the test, but to my surprise I only got an 805. I genuinely thought I would have gotten a much higher score, but thats ok.

As for Windows 2000 I did not get a single question on it. So what I'm imagining about the exams based on everyones input is that the tests are generated completely random. I felt the 702 I got was too much networking.

As for acronyms, my advice is to know all of them but in a context, I didn't bother trying to learn what they all break down to thanks to the valuable advice I got here.

Anyway, I PASSED!!!!! WOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU ALL!!!! :D
