Although LCD monitors are now normal, there are still quite a few CRT monitors still in use. What’s an important safety tip to remember when working with CRT monitors?
A) Don’t open the monitor case
B) Don’t use the monitor without connecting it to a computer
C) Don’t use the monitor around any open flames
D) Don’t use any screen filters with CRT monitors
The answer: A) Don’t open the monitor case
CRT monitors maintain high voltages, even when unplugged. Don’t open a CRT monitor case and don’t poke any tools into the CRT monitor case.
