One of your print jobs appears to be “stuck” in the print queue. Which of these would be the best way to clear the queue?

A) Reboot the computer

B) Upgrade the printer driver

C) Restart the Print Spooler service

D) Delete the existing jobs and print them again

E) Hire an artist to sketch your output

The answer: C) Restart the Print Spooler service

The Windows Print Spooler runs as a service, and a backup of jobs in the print queue may be related to a problem with the spooler. Restarting the service can correct many of these issues. Although restarting the computer will also restart the Print Spooler, a reboot is not the best way to accomplish such a simple task.
