I was cautioned by my book not to install the fan before the motherboard because the it isn’t designed to hold that extra weight when it isn’t fastened. It seems to me that the weight of the fan isn’t significant enough to cause any harm to the motherboard. I guess I was wondering should I be worried about the weight of the fan or even the heat sink when removing or installing a motherboard?
