Which of these networking media can operate the longest distance without any signal regeneration?

A) Single-mode fiber

B) Unshielded twisted pair

C) Shielded twisted pair

D) Multi-mode fiber

E) Would a regenerated signal be zombie?

The answer: A) Single-mode fiber

A single-mode fiber connection can support a single run of 100 kilometers. Multi-mode fiber can support a single run of about 2 kilometers, and the limit of both shielded and unshielded twisted pair is about 100 meters.
