Get rid of those gunky deposits

Which of these examples would be the best use for a STP cable?

A) You need to extend a network connection to a site 2 kilometers away

B) You need to support multiple operating systems on single network connection

C) You need to install a network drop on an industrial manufacturing floor

D) You need to connect two workstations directly together

E) Your engine is running a bit rough

The answer: C) You need to install a network drop on an industrial manufacturing floor

A shielded twisted pair cable has all of the characteristics of an unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable, with the added feature of a metal shield around the wires to help resist electrical interference. Manufacturing floors are notorious for electrical interference, making STP cable a necessity.
