How can you manage access to your wireless network?

You would like to install a wireless access point, but you only want to allow certain computers to have access to the network. Which one of these technologies would provide this capability?

A) SSID broadcast suppression

B) Static IP addressing

C) MAC filtering

D) Port forwarding

E) Pretend the access point is a toaster

The answer: C) MAC filtering

Media Access Control addresses are unique on each wireless adapter, and filtering the MAC addresses can allow or restrict access to the network. It’s worth noting that MAC addresses are very easy to spoof, making this a relatively easy access control method to subvert.
