It won’t. I’ve tried.

You’re trying to install a new device driver using an executable file from the manufacturer, but the installation process fails in the middle of the installation. Which of these is most likely the issue?

A) The driver package isn’t signed by Microsoft

B) The driver installation program is damaged

C) The installation process doesn’t have the proper access to install the driver

D) The hardware associated with this driver is not installed in this computer

E) The driver is sick and tired of doing this, day in and day out.

The answer: C) The installation process doesn’t have the proper access to install the driver

Many driver installation files require Administrator access to install properly, especially if it’s an executable application that also installs additional “helper” files in Windows directories and requires additional services to be installed.
