More coffee provides additional resilience

Which of these network types would be the most likely to provide a level of fault-tolerance? Pick two.

A) Mesh

B) Ring

C) Bus

D) Star

E) Hybrid

F) I can tolerate more if I get a good night’s sleep

The answer: A) Mesh and B) Ring

A ring network’s fault-tolerance can allow it to wrap the ring around any identified problems, allowing the rest of the network to continue working. A mesh network usually includes multiple links to a single connection, and the network can remain active if a single link is disabled. Hybrid networks can sometimes provide fault-tolerance, but there’s no guarantee that the multiple network types in a hybrid network will include any redundancy or fault-tolerance.
