Which of these would be the result of SSID broadcast suppression?

A) All wireless data will be encrypted

B) The wireless network will not appear in the list of available networks

C) Non-authenticated users will not be able to connect to the wireless network

D) The network will be configured as an open wireless network

E) Large bandwidth wireless transfers will be restricted

F) It will only take you four or five tries to get the password correct

The answer: B) The wireless network will not appear in the list of available networks

The SSID identifies the name of the wireless network, and suppressing the SSID broadcast will effectively remove the name of the wireless network from the list on your mobile device. This isn’t a security feature, however. If you know the SSID name, you can still connect.
