Partly cloudy with a chance of wireless

During the installation of a new wireless router, you have selected the option for SSID suppression. What is the result of this configuration selection?

A) The wireless network will always appear in a list of available networks

B) The router will not forward traffic to the Internet

C) The wireless network will perform at maximum speed

D) The wireless network will not appear in a list of available networks

E) The wireless router will decide what traffic to forward based on today’s weather report

The answer: D) The wireless network will not appear in a list of available networks

The service set identifier (SSID) designates the wireless network provided by the access point. If the SSID broadcast is disabled, the wireless network will not appear on any available network lists. To use the wireless network, the SSID must be configured manually.
