Pin the tail on the motherboard

How many pins would you expect to find on an ATX12V v2.2 motherboard connector?

A) 16 pins

B) 20 pins

C) 24 pins

D) 36 pins

E) What pins? It’s all wireless these days!

The answer: C) 24 pins

Version 2.0 of the ATX12V standard extended the main power connector to 24 pins, and a version 2.2 power connector is a minor update that adds new requirements without changing the connector.
