Secure, not so secure.

Which of these wireless security techniques provides the best privacy?

A) WPA2

B) SSID broadcast suppression

C) Static IP addressing

D) MAC filtering

E) When you’re using the wireless network, speak with your inside voice

The answer: A) WPA2

Although many of the other wireless security techniques listed can help with the management of your wireless network, none of them provide true privacy or protection of your data. Without WPA2 encryption, all of your in-the-clear transmissions can be easily seen by anyone with a simple wireless network analyzer.
