Souped-up memory

What is the peak transfer rate of DDR2 memory that has a memory clock rate of 200 MHz?

A) 2400 MB/s

B) 3200 MB/s

C) 6400 MB/s

D) 12800 MB/s

E) I was told there would be no math

The answer: C) 6400 MB/s

The calculation of DDR2 transfer rates is the clock rate x 2 (bus clock multiplier) x 2 (dual-rate) x 64 (number of bits transferred per cycle) / 8 (bits per byte). If the DDR2 memory clock rate is 200 MHz, the total throughput would be 6400 MB/s.
