Which of these CPU package types consist of two rows of pins that must be firmly pressed into a similarly shaped motherboard socket?

A) LGA

B) SECC

C) PGA

D) DIP

E) When you have a hammer, every CPU package fits

The answer: D) DIP

The Dual In-line CPU package is a older style package that had very delicate pins and were often bent or broken during installation or removal. The newer LGA or PGA style of CPU has effectively removed this danger when working with CPUs and sockets.
