There’s no cure for writer’s block

You are printing to the network laser printer, but you notice that the paper tray with the company letterhead doesn’t appear anywhere on the printer options. What is the most likely cause of this issue?

A) The printer tray is out of letterhead paper

B) The printer is not currently powered on

C) The printer driver is for a different printer model

D) The paper tray has been removed from the slot

E) The printer has determined that your memo needs another edit

The answer: C) The printer driver is for a different printer model

The printer configuration details are stored in the printer driver used by the operating system. If you’re missing fonts, printer trays, or other printer options, then you are probably using the wrong printer driver.
