They’re not buying it

You need to encrypt every file on a Windows 7 hard drive, including the operating system. Which of these options would be the best choice?

A) Encrypting File System

B) NTFS

C) BitLocker

D) attrib.exe

E) Put all of the files into a folder named “Not Important At All”

The answer: C) BitLocker

Bitlocker is designed to encrypt entire volumes, including the operating system. Unlike EFS, BitLocker integrates into the boot process to prevent the OS booting process if the proper passwords or keys aren’t available.
