We need a Remy with a network certification

A network drop in a conference room was installed years ago and there’s no documentation that identifies the other end of the cable. Which of these tools would be the best choice to find the other end of the conference room network connection?

A) Multimeter

B) Cable tester

C) Crimper

D) Toner probe

E) Train a mouse to scurry through the conduit

The answer: D) Toner probe

A toner probe uses a tone generator to send a signal down the cable, and an inductive probe is used to easily move through the existing cables until the tone is heard.
