What port should you use for an LCD monitor?

You have purchased a new LCD monitor that supports HDMI, DVI, and VGA video input. Which would be the best video input to use if your computer has these ports available?

D) Your computer doesn’t support any of these video interfaces.

Answer: C) VGA

With today’s LCD monitors supporting more interface types, there are many different options for configuring video. For this example, this computer supported only one video output, but newer computers are providing more options for video right out of the box.

For this question, there was only one possible answer because this computer only contains one video port. The blue 15-pin VGA port is the best choice for video on this particular computer.
