What you don’t know can’t help you

What type of memory can identify an error but not correct the issue?

A) ECC

B) RAID

C) Multi-channel

D) Parity

E) Double-sided

F) I can correct an issue, but don’t ask me to remember anything

The answer: D) Parity

Parity memory can identify most memory errors, but there is no mechanism for parity memory to correct an error. ECC (Error Correcting Code) memory can both identify and correct memory errors.
