Which drive technology uses terminators?

Which drive technology uses terminators to signal the “end” of the bus?

A) IDE

B) PATA

C) SATA

D) SCSI

The answer: D) SCSI

Those technicians that go “way back” with SCSI are very familiar with SCSI drive numbering and the terminators that are required on the end of a SCSI bus. Fortunately, the newer SCSI standards automatically configure many of these drive settings and today’s SCSI devices usually have internal terminators rather than the old-school physical terminator.
