Which of these operating systems won’t upgrade to Windows XP?

You need to upgrade a number of different systems, but not all operating systems can be upgraded directly to Windows XP. Which of these operating systems require a clean install and won’t directly upgrade to Windows XP?

A) Windows 95

B) Windows 98

C) Windows ME

D) Windows NT Workstation

E) Windows 2000

The answer: A) Windows 95

Windows 95 is the only operating system in this list that can’t perform an in-place upgrade to Windows XP. Windows 95 systems will require a backup and a clean install of the operating system to run Windows XP.
